Cobra News

The base for the pedestal was installed over a number of days in November.
The Cobra pedestal was installed Wednesday, December 27, 2023.
The Cobra returned home Thursday, December .28, 2023.

From Post 48 Commander John Garner: "Hello to all, great news!!! Our Cobra was picked-up by Celebrate Freedom on 13 July 2023 @ 1:00PM, for transport to their facility!"

The Cobra has had our attention off and on for a while (about 3-4 years). As a result of this interest some historical information has been located. In addition, because of factors learned over the 19 years the Cobra has been in our custody, the need to secured the Cobra.

We have had many visitors to the Post stop by to view the Cobra. There is a large expense associated with restoring the Cobra. Posts 48 is asking that if you are able to, we would appreciate a contribution to the Cobra Fund. Contributions are deductible to the extent permitted by law.
